You should create a new revision number for an activity when it changes significantly enough that learners should be forced to retake the activity to maintain their job role qualifications. You must also revise an activity if the Score Type is changed.
View the Activity List screen.
Click the activity that you want to revise.
Click Revise.
If the "Automatically Create Revision Numbers" box was selected for this activity, the number in the Revision Code box is automatically increased by one. Otherwise, type the new code in the Revision Code box.
Update other fields for this activity, as desired.
Click Save.
Notes
When a new revision of an activity is created, all job role curriculums containing the activity begin using the new revision. If the activity is required for the curriculum, learners holding those jobs may become unqualified. You can allow a grace period by editing the curriculum and setting the activity's Effective Date in the future. The activity will appear on learners' Training Needed reports as of the effective date.
You may also specify when the revision becomes active. Enter the number of days after which the revision will become effective in the Effective After text box.
If you want to change activity details without causing learners to become disqualified, then edit the activity instead of revising it. However, if you change the Score Type value, you must revise the activity.
Also, if you change the Score Type for an activity, you must update the minimum score required for the activity in each of the job role and activity group curriculums which contain it. Learners completing the new revision of the activity will not show correct Training Needed, Status or Qualifications until the minimum score listed in the curriculum is updated to reflect the new score type. To identify jobs and activity groups that include the activity, filter the Activity List screen to show only the activity, then Query To the desired list.
