Use the Record Permissions View to restrict actions users can perform upon records. This view is available for most types of records, such as activities, learners, and jobs.
Record permissions determine the actions that users in a security tier may perform on a particular record. Rather than assigning the permissions for a security tier to specific records, pre-defined groups of permissions called "Security Policies" are associated with individual records for ease of administration.
For example, the Database security tier may be given add, edit, view, and delete permissions for an activity, but other security tiers may be restricted to view-only type permissions.
For new records, security policies set as defaults will automatically be applied.
